Drilling machines and screw drivers

The drill family covers:

  • Standard drills
  • Hammer drills
  • Impact drivers wrenches
  • Screwdrivers.

The "Do It Yourself" market asks for drills which offer reliability, economy and easy handling. Professional users ask for the same features, but in addition require a high power output while maintaining a low operational power loss.

Hammer drills

Hammer drills for the DIY market are designed in a similar way to conventional drills, but incorporate a percussion device that operates on the spindle shaft and gives the hammering effect.

In heavy duty professional hammer drills the electric motor is usually mounted vertically and gives the motion to the spindle shaft through a series of gears. The hammering system operates with or without the rotation of the spindle.

The environment for hammer drills is highly contaminated with dust etc. Hence the need to ensure good contamination protection.
