Improve reliability in the press and dryer sections

Like most applications in a paper machine, felt rolls are subject to misalignment and axial expansion of the shaft. This must be accommodated by the bearing arrangement.

Felt rolls in the press section encounter a lot of process water so they need to be protected.

In the dryer section, felt rolls contend with higher temperatures which are challenging for machine components. Axial thermal expansion of the rolls and cylinders is thus much greater than in the forming and wet sections.
